More Contractions

1:10:00 PM

So, I pretty much have a doctor's appointment everyday this week. From now on, I have to do a stress test twice a week until I deliver the babies. I have one this week on Monday and Thursday. I'm also taking a medication called Ursodiol for my obstetric cholastasis. I take one tablet three times daily until I deliver. Tomorrow, I have another appointment with my OB. Then, on Wednesday, I meet with my GI to discuss my ulcerative colitis. It's going to be a pretty busy week.

We've finally made a dent in unpacking. My bedroom is starting to look a bit more normal. Well, at least there aren't any more moving boxes in here. I still have to get my office back in order. We're a little low on funds so we have to wait a bit to get stuff for the nursery and other things we need for the house. The nursery is our main priority right now though.

My hubby wants to take us to the beach this weekend because we haven't been there all summer. To be honest, I don't want to go, but I want my boys to have fun before school starts next week. So, I'm going to suck it up and just sit in a beach chair and meditate and nap. At least, I'll have good scenery.

Sleep still escapes me. I am extremely uncomfortable at night. I toss and turn in slow motion basically trying to find the right position for my belly. It has grown so big! I have no idea how or if it will ever return to “normal” once the twins are born. I'm still praying for a vaginal delivery because I know that I will be able to get around better on my own and heal faster.

So, my stress test didn't go exactly as planned again. The twins were perfectly fine. But, I was still having contractions and they were very frequent and getting closer together, according to the machine. I felt absolutely nothing, except the movement of the twins. But, the doctor that monitors the machines insisted that I go to my OB. So, I had to hike around the hospital again to my OB's office. She sat and chatted with me a bit about my birth plan and then she did an ultrasound on the babies. A is still head down and B is breeched. I told her that I definitely want to do a vaginal birth because I can't do a c-section. She also said that she's aiming for 37 weeks, but based on my contractions it could be sooner. Yikes! We are no where near ready with the nursery and other necessities. I did get good news today though. I passed my 3 hour glucose test so I'm in the clear for gestational diabetes. Yay!!!! Now, we just have to watch my bile acid levels. She did say that if I go into labor before 37 weeks, they can try to stop my labor but that's not always a guarantee.
